Legend (1985) Pair of magical creature ears

 
This is a pair of magical creature ears from Ridley Scott's 1985 fairy tale, Legend, starring Tom Cruise, Mia Sara and Tim Curry.

For a long time I couldn't place these ears to any character. The fact that they were dark green/bronze-ish with glitter and the film being so dark, I tried in vain to match them to the creatures in the film. Only the goblins were dark-skinned and their ears were very different from these, much more pointed.

Until I found, in the extras of the Ultimate Edition DVD, the continuity polaroids for some characters, and there they were. They clearly belong to the creature (what is it?) sitting on the banquet table in Darkness' lair, during Lily's seduction scene. In the film, the scene is so dark that you can't see any features of the creature, but under the clear light of the Polaroid it is clearly unmistakeable.

Legend (1985) Demon Cook gauntlets

A pair of gauntlets worn by the demon cooks in Legend. The demon cooks can be seen wearing these gauntlets on their arms in Darkness’ kitchen.

Legend (1985) Oona's fairy ears

These screen-used ears match perfectly the ears worn by Annabelle Lanyon as "Oona" in the 1985 Ridley Scott film "Legend". The other magical creature's ears point up, whereas these point down and are the only ones with that shape.

This is the sword used by Darkness (played by Tim Curry), in the final battle with Jack (Tom Cruise). Darkness is ultimately killed by his own sword, for Jack cuts his arm with it, sending him into the Abyss. [PiH]

The following are images from the DVD edition. The sword has an enormous amount of screen-time during the epic battle, being wielded by Tim Curry as Darkness and, in the end, by Tom Cruise, as Jack. This is not only the sword of Darkness, but also the sword that kills Darkness!
