From the Earth to the Moon (TV, 1998)
Two Press badges

This 12-hour HBO miniseries created by Tom Hanks garnered 17 Emmy nominations and captivated audiences. From the early stages of the space program and Kennedy's 1961 call to reach the moon within a decade to the successes and heartbreaking failures of the race for space, the dream was kept alive by dedicated, daring professionals and a nation intent on reaching for -- and landing amid -- the stars, all while the world faced the Vietnam War.

This set of identification badges were worn on screen by members of the press and can be seen in Part 8 "We Interrupt this Program" during the Apollo 13 mission. One is a blue laminated card with "Press Escort required at MSC Apollo 13 National Aeronautics and Space Administration Manned Spacecraft Center" on the front with a series of ink stamped numbers and the letter "A" and a clothing clip at the top. The second is a green laminated card with "Apollo 13 Manned Spacecraft Center Press" on the front with a series of ink stamped numbers and a clothing clip at the top. [SU]
